Pets Now Cared for at County’s San Jacinto Campus
JUNE 29, 2018 – Riverside County begins a new animal partnership with the city of Banning on July 1. County animal control officers will return to Banning’s streets on Monday and any strays found in the city will be transported and cared for at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus in San Jacinto.
The shelter is located at 581 S. Grand Ave., San Jacinto. Here’s a link that features a map and shelter hours of operation and other key information: https://www.rcdas.org/index.php/shelters/san-jacinto
Pet owners who have found their strays previously at the Ramona Humane Society will be familiar with the area. The county’s shelter is roughly one minute around the corner.
Pet owners can always search online, too, for their wayward pets. Here’s a direct link to the county’s lost-pets page: https://www.rcdas.org/index.php/lost-pets
One key piece of information for Banning pet owners is to always check surrounding shelters.
