A booth will be set up so folks can fill out a sheet with their name idea. Children (and adults too) can take pictures with the soon-to-be-named mascot. Employees at Riverside County Animal Services will ultimately pick the name from all the suggestions. The person who comes up with the winning name will receive a special gift.
Saturday’s Spooktacular event is the mascot’s official, major debut (read more about the event). Although the mascot did greet staff and volunteers during a small gathering last Sunday, that event was used as a small test run to make sure the mascot, ahem, learned to walk OK without bumping into walls.
For those who cannot make Saturday’s event, please submit a suggestion to this e-mail address: email@example.com (please include your name, age, city of residence and a contact number; also please share why you picked your suggested name). Deadline is Monday, Oct. 31.
Some of the top suggestions will get mentioned on Riverside County Animal Services’ Facebook pages.
