Riverside County Animal Services will assist evacuees with small pets at Temescal Canyon High, 18760 El Toro Road, Lake Elsinore.

Elsinore High School (21800 Canyon Drive, Wildomar) is allowing livestock to be taken to its property where it has a large stable area used by its agricultural students. Riverside County Animal Services will assess the needs at Elsinore High (such as hay and other feed for such livestock and will have some staffing at the school to assist, as needed.

The Southwest Communities Shelter in Wildomar (33751 Mission Trail), operated by Animal Friends of the Valleys, is partnering in this emergency situation. Pet owners with small pets can take pets to the shelter and they will not be charged board and care if they are in one of the mandatory evacuation areas.
