Park N Bark Rumbles May 30

Annual Car Show & Adoption Event Saves Lives

FRIDAY, May 22, 2015 – An annual car show and adoption event returns to the county’s main shelter on Saturday, May 30. The event has led to hundreds of lives saved, thanks to all the adoptions over the years.

Some of the hottest cars in the Inland region rumble into the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter in Jurupa Valley early on that Saturday morning. A live concert and opportunity drawings are part of the fun. And, of course, some of the cutest pets are available for adoption.

And this year’s adoption special – just $19.65 – is a nod to the 50th anniversary of the 1965 Mustang, which is also a way to honor the organization that helps sponsor the event.

The annual Park N Bark is sponsored by the Inland Empire Classic Mustang Club. The club’s members are major fans of the Ford Mustang (and other vintage cars).

“The Inland Empire Classic Mustang Club is looking forward to our 7th Annual Park N Bark Classic Car Show,” said Craig Cullen, president of the club. “We are hoping for record-breaking pet adoptions and a record-breaking car show. So come on out and share in our event.”

Park N Bark is also sponsored by the Animal Solutions Konnection, or ASK Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization that assists the county’s homeless pets and programs that benefit homeless pets and needy pet owners.

The car show begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. Car enthusiasts can still sign up their own car. Check out the Inland Empire Classic Mustang Club’s link here:

Opportunity drawings for visitors will happen throughout the car show. The Sedans will be entertaining all the car owners and visitors during the event with a live concert.

Pet adoptions begin immediately after the shelter doors open at 11 a.m. The county’s main shelter, the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter, is located at 6851 Van Buren Blvd., Jurupa Valley, 92509.
