Services:
Adoptions, owner returns; Field Services; License Inspection; Licensing, Microchipping; Administration; Volunteer Coordination.
Clinic services, such as spaying/neutering and vaccinations, for Coachella Valley residents are provided by Animal Samaritans.

Shelter Hours:
Monday - Friday: 10am to 7pm
Saturday: 10am to 5pm
Sunday: Noon to 5pm
Closed Holidays
Phone hours for assistance and field services are Monday - Friday only.

Field Services Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8am to 4pm
* Stand-by Officer on duty during all off hours.

Explanation of Areas Served:
The Coachella Valley City/County Animal Shelter provides complete animal services for the unicorporated areas of Riverside County. It provides shelter and adoption services for Cathedral City, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage. It provides field services for county areas and the above cities, except La Quinta and Desert Hot Springs. Palm Springs and Indio provide all of their own animal services.

The new Animal Samaritans adoption center will be located adjacent to our location at the Coachella Valley Animal Campus. That building is still in the planning stages. Animal Samaritans is currently located at 72-307 Ramon Road.
